Health Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage all Healthy Harlem programs, including nutrition education, physical activity, and behavior modification programming.
• Hire, train, and manage a team of educators delivering health and wellness programming.
• Partner with site staff to ensure accurate tracking of evaluation data and case management support for participants.
• Establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations, schools, and parents.
• Support Site Directors in assessing the progress of healthy eating and active living initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Community Health, Recreation, Exercise Physiology, or a related health and wellness field.
• 1+ years of experience managing employees or a team.
• Proven experience working with youth and adolescent populations.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, physical fitness, and wellness concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and extensive fieldwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant health or wellness field.
• Experience working with underserved communities.
• Experience in a medical or health-focused professional environment.
