Health Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage administrative tasks including check-ins, check-outs, and scheduling
• Assist patients with insurance verification, payments, and eligibility for state-funded programs
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections
• Provide patient education, counseling, and ensure informed consent for services
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and organized to maintain smooth patient flow

Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Strong commitment to customer service and patient satisfaction
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Ability to work flexibly and a willingness to learn new clinical skills
