Health & Benefits Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide financial, contract, and administrative analysis for client projects and ad hoc operational requests
• Support financial review and funding analysis, including underwriting and data analytics in collaboration with actuaries
• Contribute to client strategy by interpreting benchmark data and ensuring plan changes align with client objectives
• Manage project quality, timelines, and deliverables, including delegating and reviewing work from junior team members
• Coordinate internal specialty resources to ensure deliverables meet professional standards and client deadlines
• Lead the preparation and delivery of clear, concise, client-facing communications and reports
• Manage the request for proposal (RFP) process with health insurance carriers and internal analysts
• Establish and manage carrier and vendor relationships to support benefits administration and plan implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of experience in health & benefits, preferably in a consulting environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Valid Life & Health License
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
