Health and Safety Workshop Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support Health & Safety performance across all workshop sites within the Mechanical & Engineering network
• Ensure compliance with safety systems, policies, and procedures
• Support hazard identification, incident investigations, and the implementation of corrective actions
• Monitor and improve safety performance and reporting metrics
• Conduct regular site visits and audits to provide on-the-ground support
• Work closely with workshop managers to embed best practices and drive a strong safety culture
• Build and maintain strong relationships across operations and H&S teams

Requirements

• Proven experience in Health & Safety, ideally within a mechanical or industrial environment
• Strong understanding of H&S systems, compliance, and risk management
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• A proactive, practical, and solutions-focused approach to safety
• Willingness to travel nationally as required to support various sites
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug, ACC, and MOJ checks
