About the role
Responsibilities
- Update and improve the SPT Projects Health and Safety Integrated Management System to meet evolving business requirements
- Manage the Health and Safety SharePoint site for document management and version control
- Lead and implement a programme of internal compliance audits and develop annual audit plans
- Act as the representative for external certification audits, such as ISO 45001
- Review monthly performance reports and ensure lessons learned are captured and communicated
- Coordinate the close-out of non-conformances with contractors and suppliers
- Support the implementation of contractor improvement processes to ensure supply chain adherence to safety requirements
- Conduct gap analysis based on legislative, contractual, and best practice requirements to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Health and Safety or a related discipline
- Significant experience in a health and safety role within energy-related construction
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification and proven auditing experience
- Minimum Tech IOSH membership (working towards Chartered status preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Proven ability to provide expert safety advice and influence stakeholders across engineering and project teams
- Valid driving licence
