About the role
Responsibilities
- Support occupational health and safety management activities for the Saint-Hyacinthe plant
- Develop and evolve a proactive health and safety culture within the site
- Adapt and deploy corporate health and safety programs to meet local site needs
- Implement and coordinate emergency measure programs
- Conduct risk analyses for operations in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and lead health and safety committee meetings and training sessions
- Produce various reports to monitor health and safety files
- Collaborate with the Regional Health and Safety Manager to establish regional objectives
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of health and safety experience in a medium to large manufacturing organization
- Strong knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation
- Fluency in both French and English (written and oral) to collaborate with teams across Canada
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong skills in team mobilization and animation
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree in a field related to occupational health and safety
- Professional health and safety certification
