Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support occupational health and safety management activities for the Saint-Hyacinthe plant
• Develop and evolve a proactive health and safety culture within the site
• Adapt and deploy corporate health and safety programs to meet local site needs
• Implement and coordinate emergency measure programs
• Conduct risk analyses for operations in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate and lead health and safety committee meetings and training sessions
• Produce various reports to monitor health and safety files
• Collaborate with the Regional Health and Safety Manager to establish regional objectives

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of health and safety experience in a medium to large manufacturing organization
• Strong knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation
• Fluency in both French and English (written and oral) to collaborate with teams across Canada
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong skills in team mobilization and animation

Preferred Qualifications

• University degree in a field related to occupational health and safety
• Professional health and safety certification
