Health and Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Manage the Health and Safety team to promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
• Identify potential workplace hazards and implement preventive measures to minimize risks.
• Ensure compliance with all Bahraini HSE laws, regulations, and duty of care requirements.
• Investigate accidents to identify root causes and establish preventive measures for the future.
• Maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular audits of OHS compliance and hazardous waste management.
• Liaise with relevant government authorities and ministries to ensure smooth business operations.
• Train team members on health and safety audits and related safety duties.
• Communicate regularly with management regarding the status of safety programs and quality systems.

Requirements

• Bahraini Nationals with at least 3 years of HSE experience, or Expatriates with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent professional qualification.
• NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent qualification in Health & Safety Management.
• Deep knowledge of Bahrain HSE laws, regulations, and reporting procedures.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications and multitasking.
• A positive attitude, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional professional certifications related to Health & Safety.
