Health and Safety Manager

About the Company

JYSK is a fast-growing international retail organization with more than 3,000 stores in 50 countries. To support this growth logistically, we are currently building our tenth distribution center in Lelystad.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Health & Safety performance and legal compliance within the distribution center
• Translate corporate H&S strategy into concrete local execution
• Implement and monitor procedures and safety guidelines
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and initiate preventive measures
• Manage and follow up on incidents, near misses, and improvement actions
• Develop and realize safety objectives and action plans
• Stimulate safety culture and active employee involvement
• Coordinate training and ensure safety awareness

Requirements

• Relevant education and/or demonstrable experience in Health & Safety
• Several years of relevant work experience
• Experience with safety systems (e.g., ISO 45001) and knowledge of applicable labor laws (Arbowetgeving)
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
• Willingness to travel to other international distribution centers
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English
