Health and Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing site-specific HSE plans in line with project and regulatory requirements
• Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and environmental standards
• Conduct routine safety inspections and report non-compliance or hazards
• Document and report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions
• Support investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate HSE records and dashboards for management review
• Coordinate and deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
• Promote a culture of safety awareness among all project personnel
• Work closely with project teams, contractors, and HSE leadership to implement safety measures
• Assist in liaising with regulatory bodies for inspections or audits
• Support the review and enhancement of HSE procedures and programs
• Identify trends and recommend initiatives to reduce incidents and environmental impact

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 2 years of HSE experience in construction, aviation, or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary project environment

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 certifications
