Health and Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate the health and safety management of contractors and the implementation of the project-specific Construction Safety Management Plan (CSMP)
• Assess leadership, planning, operational controls, and continuous improvement of health and safety for both general contractors and their subcontractors
• Ensure the existence of leadership commitment statements or health and safety policies within the CSMP
• Conduct regular site walkthroughs and inspections to ensure full regulatory compliance
• Foster a strong preventive culture aligned with Spanish legislation, including Law 31/1995 and relevant Royal Decrees for construction and occupational risk prevention

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Experience in industrial, civil, or technology-related construction sectors
• Advanced technical degree or three years of experience in health and safety management roles
• Deep knowledge of Spanish health and safety regulations and standards
• Experience in hazard risk assessment, incident analysis, and CSMP system audits
• Proficiency in management systems such as ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001
• Fluency in both Spanish and English
