Health and Safety Advisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction sites comply with local health and safety regulations, codes, and industry standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of sites, equipment, and processes
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors
• Facilitate incident reporting, investigations, and near-miss reporting
• Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports and training logs
• Promote safety awareness through meetings, toolbox talks, and campaigns
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier safety performance
• Stay informed on regulatory updates and communicate changes to project teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably in construction or infrastructure
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
