About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective practice plans and conduct daily training sessions for the women's rowing program.
- Recruit, retain, and develop qualified student-athletes who demonstrate academic and athletic potential.
- Manage all operational aspects including scheduling, travel logistics, equipment, and facility usage.
- Develop and administer the program budget in accordance with University policies.
- Ensure strict compliance with all NCAA, Sunshine State Conference (SSC), and University regulations.
- Mentor student-athletes in leadership, life skills, and academic success.
- Lead fundraising initiatives and promote the program through community outreach and engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated coaching experience in rowing at the collegiate, club, or elite level.
- Strong knowledge of rowing techniques, training methodologies, and competitive strategies.
- Thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and travel logistics.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Collegiate head coaching experience.
- Experience with fundraising, alumni relations, and community engagement.
- Experience supervising coaching staff and support personnel.
- Strong understanding of NCAA Division II athletics.
