About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of a competitive Division I intercollegiate women’s rowing program.
- Recruit outstanding student-athletes who fit the academic profile and values of the institution.
- Provide skill instruction, practice planning, and match/game execution.
- Ensure program compliance with all NCAA, Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), and institutional rules and regulations.
- Oversee program budgets, ensuring all expenditures remain within established limits.
- Monitor student-athlete academic progress and provide necessary support and counseling.
- Supervise assistant coaches, student-athletes, and student assistants to maintain an ethical and competitive program.
- Promote Bryant University’s athletic and academic programs through public relations and fundraising efforts.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible coaching experience.
- Thorough understanding of and experience with NCAA and CAA rules and regulations.
- Proven expertise in identifying and recruiting student-athletes.
- Strong organizational, budget management, and leadership skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Valid driver’s license for travel purposes.
