Head Waiter

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily front-of-house operations during service
• Lead and support the team of waiters/waitresses by assigning sections and monitoring performance
• Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service
• Train and mentor junior staff on service standards, etiquette, and club protocols
• Act as the point of contact between kitchen, bar, and service staff
• Monitor table setups, cleanliness, and presentation
• Handle guest complaints or special requests with diplomacy
• Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
• Support the planning and execution of club events, private dinners, and banquets
• Maintain stock of service-related supplies

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior waiter, head waiter, or in a similar supervisory role
• Strong leadership and delegation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities
• Deep understanding of fine dining service and hospitality standards
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-end environment
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Familiarity with POS systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a private club, luxury hotel, or fine dining setting
• Food handling and/or alcohol service certifications
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and pairings
