Head Veterinarian

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the medical team, providing guidance and mentorship to nurses, handlers, and intern veterinarians
• Oversee clinical standards to ensure the highest quality of patient care and compliance with veterinary ethics
• Perform diagnostic imaging, basic orthopedic surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine consultations
• Manage facility schedules to ensure comprehensive coverage of all medical services
• Maintain excellent client relationships through clear communication, medical record updates, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with management to optimize patient flow and propose business expansion opportunities
• Foster innovation by integrating advanced treatments such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
• Valid MOCCAE veterinary license in good standing
• 7-10 years of clinical experience, including leadership roles
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within the UAE
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Strong understanding of UAE veterinary regulations and animal welfare standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in specialized fields such as ophthalmology, dermatology, or nutrition
• Proven track record in managing diverse client bases within the UAE veterinary market
• Experience implementing alternative veterinary treatments and innovative clinical practices
