Head Varsity Boys Ice Hockey Coach

Responsibilities

• Serve as the inspirational leader and positive role model for the King Boys Ice Hockey program for grades 6-12.
• Develop and maintain an environment of competitive growth, continuous improvement, and character development.
• Plan and facilitate daily, meaningful practices using effective teaching and coaching techniques.
• Oversee all levels of the program, including the Middle School team, and mentor assistant coaches.
• Establish a strategic vision for the program, including the recruitment of prospective student-athletes in collaboration with the Office of Admissions.
• Promote a positive program culture centered on respect, inclusion, sportsmanship, and citizenship.
• Support the academic success and college athletic opportunities of all student-athletes.
• Coordinate out-of-season training and conditioning opportunities to enhance the athlete experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of high school or college hockey coaching experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of hockey teaching and coaching techniques.
• Ability to foster social-emotional health and well-being alongside athletic skill development.
