Head Spirit Squad Coach/Assistant Cheer Coach

Responsibilities

• Supervise, operate, and develop the Spirit Squad cheer program, including sideline teams for football and basketball.
• Oversee all aspects of the Spirit Squad program, including practices and home game performances.
• Assist the Head Cheer & STUNT Coach with the intercollegiate NCA Competitive Cheer program.
• Recruit, evaluate, and coach qualified student-athletes.
• Develop and implement fundraising initiatives to support the program.
• Monitor student-athletes' academic progress, schedules, and grades.
• Ensure compliance with College, NCAA Division III, STUNT, NCA, and USA Cheer rules and regulations.
• Promote good sportsmanship and foster student-athlete development within the campus community.
• Collaborate with athletic department staff and assist with alumni relations initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Collegiate-level playing and/or coaching experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III, STUNT, and NCA rules and structure.
• Understanding of the Division III student-athlete philosophy.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

• Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and diverse populations.
