Head Softball Coach

Responsibilities

• Lead the women's softball program by developing sport skills, strategies, and philosophy
• Recruit, retain, and mentor student-athletes to promote academic and athletic success
• Manage the program budget, including fiscal resources and annual expenditure planning
• Oversee program administration in compliance with University, SCIAC, and NCAA Division III guidelines
• Supervise assistant coaches, volunteers, and graduate assistants
• Coordinate team travel, transportation, and equipment inventory
• Serve as the primary representative for the softball program to campus and external constituencies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, sports management, or a related field
• Three years of softball coaching experience
• Three years of athletic administrative experience
• Valid California driver's license
• Ability to obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of employment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings, weekends, and travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Collegiate coaching experience
