Head, School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and management for the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science
• Design and implement strategies to advance the School's vision, quality, and distinctiveness
• Manage academic and administrative staff, ensuring efficient governance and resource allocation across multiple campuses
• Represent and advocate for the School within the University and to the wider community
• Build relationships with external groups and individuals to secure funding and support
• Foster a collaborative research and teaching culture that drives meaningful community impact

Requirements

• Doctoral level qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing
• Proven expertise in higher education management, including human and material resources
• Outstanding record of high-quality research and scholarship in a relevant discipline
• Substantial experience in curriculum development and managing learning effectiveness
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and build sustainable, high-performing teams
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships
