Head, School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and management for the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science to advance its vision and academic excellence.
• Design and implement strategies to support academic and administrative staff through transparent and efficient governance.
• Represent and advocate for the School within the University and to the wider community, including local and international stakeholders.
• Build relationships with external groups and work with marketing and advancement offices to secure external funding and support.
• Manage resources, budgets, and academic functions across multiple campuses to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Foster a collaborative research and teaching culture that drives meaningful community impact.

Requirements

• Doctoral level qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
• Proven expertise in higher education management, including human and material resources.
• Outstanding record of high-quality research and scholarship in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in leadership, team building, and inspiring staff and students.
• Substantial experience in curriculum development and managing learning effectiveness.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships.
• Strong commitment to equity, social inclusion, and ethical leadership.
