Head Rowing Coach

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the Upper School rowing programs, including practice planning, athlete development, and program administration
• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical conditioning for individual and team success
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including equipment upkeep, repairs, and coordinating team travel
• Organize seasonal team meetings to establish rules, procedures, and expectations
• Assign lineups and submit entries for all regattas in compliance with US Rowing rules
• Maintain open communication with parents, athletes, and the Director of Athletics
• Drive teams and/or equipment to and from practices and competitions

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
• At least three years of experience in coaching rowing or similar relevant experience
• Ability to drive a trailer to transport equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer technology
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and climate
• Physical ability to move rowing equipment and demonstrate athletic movements
• Ability to work flexible hours, including before/after school and weekends
