Head Rowing Coach

Responsibilities

• Recruit quality student-athletes for the rowing program
• Develop and facilitate organized practices on the Susquehanna River
• Adhere to university and US Rowing policies to ensure proper risk management and safety
• Develop a competitive contest schedule and manage the sport budget
• Coordinate the purchase, inventory, and storage of rowing equipment
• Maintain accurate participation records and coordinate fundraising opportunities
• Represent the university professionally to various constituents

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Two years of rowing coaching experience, or a total of six years of rowing coaching experience
• First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment)
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify under the university's insurance carrier
• Ability to meet the physical demands of coaching water sports, including frequent walking, running, bending, and lifting

Preferred Qualifications

• College-level rowing coaching experience
