Head of Video - Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers and clients to design, pre-plan, and manage all aspects of video production and technical discipline.
• Complete technical drawings, production plans, labor requirements, budgets, and equipment selection.
• Manage on-site production, ensuring all technical components are set, tested, and meet safety standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to assigned crews, including internal staff and external subcontractors.
• Oversee post-show activities including final labor reporting, expenses, sub-rentals, and equipment maintenance needs.
• Mentor and develop technicians through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Interface with warehouse leads to design systems and drive innovation within the product portfolio.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in live, large-venue audio-visual environments.
• 5+ years of expert-level technical skill set in a specific AV discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a crew lead or supervisory capacity.
• Ability to travel up to 75% as required by project needs.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
