Head of Valuation

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision for the valuation function across people, process, and technology, including the use of AI and automation
• Lead the valuation process across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, illiquid credit, and absolute return strategies
• Oversee quarterly reviews of illiquid securities valuations across the entire capital structure
• Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of valuation professionals
• Lead valuation committee discussions and present matters to senior management and auditors
• Partner with investment teams to align on valuation assumptions and methodologies
• Oversee the daily valuation process of interval funds, ensuring updates are reflected in daily NAV

Requirements

• BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
• 15+ years of financial reporting valuation experience in alternative investments or valuation services
• Significant experience in a leadership or people-management capacity
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting research
• Expertise in valuation approaches and methods for private equity and alternative assets
• Strong leadership and communication skills to build relationships across departments
• Ability to manage organizational change and work under pressure with strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Economics
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CAIA
