Head of the Office of Assurance

Responsibilities

• Consolidate Quality, Certification, Audit, and Internal Process Assurance into a single organization reporting to the President
• Ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance across all product lines
• Manage relationships with the FAA and EASA and oversee Part 145 compliance
• Lead development assurance processes for DO-178 and DO-254
• Manage Material Review Board activities and handle nonconforming materials
• Exercise authority to halt production to address safety or quality issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline
• At least 10 years of experience in quality, certification, or assurance within a regulated design and manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple functions or teams
• Strong understanding of regulated aerospace or safety-critical manufacturing environments
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive compliance initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or Quality Management
• Experience with DO-254, DO-178, or ARP-4754 lifecycle processes
• AS9100 Lead Auditor certification
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM, or CQA)
• Experience in Part 21 and/or Part 145 regulated environments
• FAA DER or DAR experience
• Background in avionics or general aviation
• Familiarity with FMEA and formal risk management processes
