About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage short- and long-term technology strategy and capital planning for the station.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including equipment integration and maintenance for studios, control rooms, post-production, and transmission.
- Lead engineering, IT, and production teams in a 24/7/365 broadcast environment.
- Ensure compliance with FCC rules, OSHA standards, and critical IT security policies.
- Manage business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity contingency plans.
- Maintain financial responsibility for the engineering department, including budgeting and expense approvals.
- Manage vendor contracts, technology leases, and facility maintenance services.
- Monitor daily on-air technical quality and lead workflow improvements for on-air and online products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a broadcast operations or technology management role.
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast technologies including ENPS, production control room automation, RF transmission, and signal path workflows.
- Strong understanding of IT processes, including security and workflow management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong project management experience and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
