Head of Technology for Individual Retirement

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technology strategy for Individual Retirement to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Lead a team of IT professionals to deliver complex, mission-critical business and technology projects on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership, Chief Product Owners, and Solution Architects to align initiatives with agile methodologies.
• Oversee the design and development of scalable, secure, and reliable systems and platforms.
• Drive data science initiatives to improve business outcomes and capitalize on emerging technology trends.
• Manage the technology budget and determine capital investment priorities to maximize business value.
• Foster an innovative and inclusive culture that prioritizes career growth and technical upskilling.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end application rationalization and legacy system retirement.
• Strong knowledge of digital transformation, data science, and AI.
• Extensive experience leading large, hybrid teams in a highly matrixed environment.
• Proficiency in managing Agile teams and executing strategic systems plans.
• Executive-level vendor management skills with a focus on delivering business value.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Direct experience within the Retirement sector.
• Deep technical knowledge in cloud enablement, software-defined infrastructure, and application architecture.
