TerraFirma is redefining how the world moves earth for construction. Founded by former SpaceX engineers and backed by Bain Capital Ventures, we are automating construction to make it faster, cheaper, and safer by applying principles of simplification, iteration, and automation to infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the recruiting lifecycle end-to-end from initial outreach through offer negotiation and onboarding
• Partner with engineering and operations leadership to forecast hiring needs and build headcount plans
• Proactively identify and engage top talent across construction, software, robotics, and hardware
• Run high-signal screens to evaluate technical competence and cultural alignment
• Orchestrate complex onsite interview schedules at Texas facilities
• Analyze funnel data to improve conversion rates and reduce time-to-hire

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a technical or high-growth environment
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple high-priority roles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends during critical hiring pushes
• Ability to relocate to Austin, TX if not within commuting distance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting for hardware, robotics, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or defense
• Experience as a founding recruiter in an early-stage startup
• Familiarity with ATS platforms like Ashby, Greenhouse, or Lever
• Existing network within the engineering talent pool in Austin or similar tech hubs
