Responsibilities

• Build the in-house talent engine, including sourcing, pipeline, and full-cycle recruiting
• Lead and scale a small team of recruiters and sourcers
• Prioritize and execute high-bar engineering hiring
• Steward company culture and protect the hiring bar during growth
• Own the full candidate funnel, from first touch to signed offer
• Build employer brand and manage candidate experience
• Oversee onboarding, ramp, and retention strategies
• Manage hiring systems, metrics, headcount planning, and compensation frameworks

Requirements

• Experience building or scaling an in-house talent function at a high-growth startup (Seed to Series C)
• Proven track record of hiring technical, hard-to-fill engineering roles
• High agency, player-coach mindset with ability to personally source and close talent
• First-principles thinker with strong opinions on hiring processes
• Data-driven approach to pipeline, conversion, and headcount planning
• Ability to thrive in a high-intensity, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, infrastructure, or regulated industries
• Success in reducing agency spend by building internal sourcing motions
• Experience managing offshore or distributed sourcing teams
• Experience scaling companies through rapid growth and capital raises
