Head of Supply Chain & Logistics

Responsibilities

• Lead the supply chain and logistics strategy for Japan, ensuring alignment with regional and global goals.
• Develop and manage a cost-effective distribution network while monitoring Logistics Service Providers for safety and compliance.
• Oversee export control activities and ensure local compliance with foreign trade laws and corporate directives.
• Collaborate with Business Entities, Production, and Credit Management to optimize business performance and minimize risk.
• Represent Japan in regional and global meetings and serve as a member of the country management team.
• Develop, mentor, and lead the Supply Chain team to drive talent management and business growth.
• Monitor SC&L KPIs to drive continuous improvement, sustainability, and organizational responsiveness.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business, finance, supply chain, or procurement.
• More than 5 years of leadership experience within a multinational corporation (MNC).
• Proficiency in SAP and other business automation tools.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cost accounting or customer relationship management.
• Knowledge of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and other advanced automation tools.
• Proven track record of managing complex logistics networks in the APAC region.
