About the role
Responsibilities
- Own sales and revenue growth by structuring and closing high-value deals ($5M-$50M+) with defense and intelligence agencies
- Leverage existing government networks to facilitate introductions and position Rhombus for strategic opportunities
- Design strategic partnership frameworks and contractual arrangements aligned with government priorities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior government officials, articulating predictive intelligence capabilities
- Develop market entry and expansion strategies based on political landscapes and defense priorities
- Collaborate with the CEO on company strategy and product-market fit
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to ensure successful deal execution
- Represent the company at defense conferences, congressional hearings, and industry forums
Requirements
- Background in government policy or legislative experience (e.g., congressional staffer or senior defense official)
- Established network of senior contacts within defense and national security establishments
- Minimum 3 years of industry transition experience in defense technology or consulting
- Deep understanding of defense procurement, authorization processes, and budget cycles
- Degree in political science, international relations, or security studies from a top-tier institution
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- Ability to travel extensively (50%+)

- Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent)
- Native or near-native language capability relevant to assigned territory
- Experience in high-stakes negotiations within the national security sector
