Responsibilities

• Own the Solutions Engineering strategy, hiring plan, and technical motion to clear the path to pilots.
• Hire, manage, and develop the SE team, setting the standard for technical selling.
• Operate as a player-coach, personally carrying strategic technical deals including architecture conversations and security reviews.
• Build the foundational SE toolkit, including demo environments, reference architectures, and evaluation frameworks.
• Define the technical sales motion and codify value-based use cases and success criteria.
• Act as the senior voice on security and access, addressing guardrails, audit logging, and compliance.
• Establish metrics for the function, such as technical win rates and pilot conversion.
• Bridge the gap between the field and Product by bringing customer signals into the roadmap.

Requirements

• 10+ years in solutions engineering or pre-sales technical roles at high-growth B2B software companies.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing technical sellers.
• Proven track record of building or scaling a Solutions Engineering function from the ground up.
• Ability to sell technical products to senior IT and security buyers (CIOs, Heads of IT).
• Deep technical depth in architecture reviews, integration debugging, and security protocols.
• Working fluency with modern IT and identity stacks (IdPs, SCIM, ITSM, APIs, SaaS administration).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both engineers and executives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ITSM, IGA, access management, security, or AI automation products.
