Head of Site Merchandising

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end merchandising strategy for the Quince Germany website and mobile apps
• Manage and optimize merchandising tools and platforms for product discovery and personalization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, and Data teams
• Partner with global teams to improve tooling, automation, and merchandising best practices
• Use analytics and testing to improve site navigation, product placement, and content engagement
• Own the site merchandising calendar for key selling moments like Black Friday and holiday seasons
• Drive best practices in product storytelling, cross-selling, and navigation
• Partner with Engineering and Data teams to implement content automation and semantic optimization for AI search results
• Stay ahead of evolving SEO landscapes including Google’s SGE and OpenAI’s search integrations

Requirements

• 12 years of professional experience
• At least 8 years in ecommerce, digital merchandising, site optimization, or growth/SEO
• 3 years of experience leading a team
• Proven track record managing the customer journey for a high-volume consumer brand
• Experience leading merchandising or digital experience for international/multi-market businesses
• Strong analytical skills with experience in A/B testing and web analytics (GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
• Advanced knowledge of SEO foundations including metadata, internal linking, and schema markup
• Strong understanding of German/EU ecommerce consumer behavior and regulatory considerations
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in German and English
• Experience with personalized customer experiences across multiple channels
• Demonstrated experience applying AI tools
• Success in fast-scaling DTC or omnichannel commerce environments
• Familiarity with tools like Bloomreach, Algolia, Botify, Semrush, Optimizely, VWO, Looker, or Tableau
