Head of SEO

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a holistic SEO strategy covering Technical SEO, Content, and Offpage measures
• Lead and develop the SEO team both professionally and disciplinarily
• Manage the SEO roadmap and prioritize tasks based on measurable KPIs and business impact
• Drive technical and content SEO projects in collaboration with Product, Tech, and Design teams
• Oversee technical SEO topics including crawlability, indexing, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals
• Develop data-driven content and link-building strategies focused on E-E-A-T and keyword clusters
• Implement forward-looking GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies for AI-driven search engines

Requirements

• 5–7 years of SEO experience with proven success in organic growth and lead generation
• 2–3 years of leadership experience in building or scaling SEO teams
• Deep expertise in Technical SEO, On-Page, Content Strategy, and Offpage/Linkbuilding
• Proficiency with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Sistrix, and Screaming Frog
• Technical understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs for developer collaboration
• Experience with AI-based workflows and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
• Fluent in German and English
