Head of Security

Responsibilities

• Present the security program to Tier 1 financial institutions, leading security reviews and due-diligence cycles
• Own compliance and audit, driving SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications
• Partner with product and engineering to enable AI features within highly regulated environments
• Protect consumer financial data at scale through encryption, key management, and access controls
• Manage identity and access (IAM, RBAC) and third-party vendor risk
• Design disaster recovery (DR) processes and ensure system auditability
• Lead incident response, detection, and post-mortem communications

Requirements

• 7+ years in security engineering or leadership, preferably in B2B fintech or regulated industries
• Proven ability to lead security reviews and engage with CISO organizations and third-party risk teams
• Experience driving SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 from design through audit
• Working knowledge of FFIEC, NIST CSF, GLBA, and NYDFS Part 500
• Hands-on experience with IAM, RBAC, and cloud-native security (AWS, GCP)
• Experience with disaster recovery, backups, and RPO/RTO definition
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
