Head of Secondary

Responsibilities

• Place student learning and development at the heart of all strategic planning and resource allocation
• Elevate teaching quality by setting ambitious expectations and rigorously monitoring learning outcomes
• Drive outstanding attainment and progress through robust assessment and tracking systems
• Lead curriculum development to ensure a meaningful, connected, and progressive programme across all Key Stages
• Inspire and support staff to achieve high standards through a culture of continuous professional growth
• Lead the development of effective strategies for student well-being and behaviour
• Manage financial and human resources strategically to ensure excellence and sustainability
• Maximise the impact of Nord Anglia Education global initiatives, including Juilliard, MIT, and IMG Academy
• Build strategic relationships and partnerships to enhance the school’s profile

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• At least five years of experience in Senior Leadership
• Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and international accreditation (e.g., BTEC, IB, A-level, NEASC)
• Demonstrated success in enabling outstanding teaching and learning and developing others
• Expertise in pastoral care and supporting student well-being
• Up-to-date knowledge of legislation and guidance for child protection and safeguarding

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as Head of Secondary, ideally in an international school setting
• NPQH or an equivalent leadership qualification
• Proven ability to inspire confidence through strong leadership and communication skills
