About the Company

Stand is building a new class of global property protection using advanced physics and AI to model catastrophic risk at the asset level. The company aims to automate underwriting and mitigation to redefine homeowners insurance for climate-exposed regions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch new homeowners, condo, and dwelling fire products in catastrophe-exposed markets
• Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, and Distribution teams to design pricing and exposure management strategies
• Monitor post-implementation portfolio performance to evaluate business results
• Gather market intelligence through competitor filings and distribution partner feedback
• Lead state regulatory strategy, including rate, rule, and form filings
• Resolve complex cross-functional business challenges through data-driven analysis

Requirements

• 5+ years of insurance product or state management experience
• Extensive exposure to ratemating, underwriting, and policy forms
• 3+ years of Homeowners insurance experience
• Ability to build performance data monitoring to drive pricing decisions
• Experience working cross-functionally with actuarial, underwriting, and engineering teams
• Strong competency with Microsoft Excel
• Competency with geospatial mapping tools like ArcGIS or QGIS

Preferred Qualifications

• SQL or other data querying language
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Omni, Looker, or PowerBI
• Florida-specific insurance experience
• Experience with E&S markets or property-catastrophe products
• Experience with multi-state insurance product launches
• Familiarity with third-party data integrations like hazard scores or geospatial data
• Prior work with MGAs, fronting carriers, or insurance partnerships
