Head of Science

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and delivery of the science curriculum across all key stages
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely intervention and support
• Collaborate with department heads and school leadership to promote a cohesive educational experience
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Contribute to the school community through active engagement in extra-curricular programmes

Requirements

• BEd or Bachelors degree in Science
• PGCE / PGDE or equivalent qualification
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, students, and parents
• UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership role within a science department
• A creative and enthusiastic approach to classroom instruction
