Head of Science

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day excellence of the Science Department
• Champion an inspiring, forward-thinking Science curriculum from KS3 to KS5
• Drive innovation in teaching and play a key role in developing STEAM provision
• Continue to teach your specialist subject and model exceptional classroom practice
• Mentor staff and nurture a supportive, high-performing team culture
• Contribute to a vibrant programme of trips, enrichment opportunities, and whole-school initiatives

Requirements

• Strong subject expertise in Science
• Proven success in driving academic progress and student achievement
• Experience managing or working with the KS3 to KS5 curriculum
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate with clarity and collaborate effectively with colleagues and leadership
• A passion for creating engaging learning experiences and staying current with Science education developments
