Head of Sales, Cosmetic Active Ingredients – Asia Pacific

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the commercial strategy for ingredient sales across the Asia region
• Identify, engage, and develop deep partnerships with contract manufacturers in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, India, and Australia
• Serve as the primary relationship holder for CMs, driving ingredient specification and securing long-term supply agreements
• Travel extensively throughout the Asia region and to the US 2-3 times per year
• Plan and organize regional trade shows and industry events
• Translate local market intelligence into actionable insights for global strategy
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear forecasting
• Collaborate with R&D, formulations, marketing, and operations teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in cosmetic ingredient sales to beauty contract manufacturers in the Asia region
• Established network of contacts with major cosmetic contract manufacturers across Asia
• Deep knowledge of the Asian CM landscape, including procurement and formulation workflows
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing complex B2B sales cycles
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Fluency in English
• Ability to travel extensively and carry sales materials up to 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a scientific field
• Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or other regional Asian languages
