Head of Renovations & Facilities

Responsibilities

• Set and lead a multi-year facilities strategy for a large portfolio of schools
• Oversee day-to-day building operations and rapid response to issues
• Plan and execute capital improvements, renovations, and new site readiness
• Manage preventative maintenance programs to maximize asset life
• Source and manage vendor performance for HVAC, custodial, security, and food services
• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing facilities team
• Ensure full compliance with fire, life safety, and local/state building codes
• Develop and oversee departmental and site-level budgets
• Implement scalable systems and tools to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in facilities management or building operations
• Experience overseeing large, multi-site portfolios
• Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams
• Strong track record of executing capital projects and renovations
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems
• Experience managing vendor relationships and service contracts
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and building codes
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
