Head of Quality Control

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all quality control laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, and local/global regulatory standards.
• Maintain the comprehensive documentation system for the QC laboratory, adhering to HSE guidelines.
• Develop and implement annual strategic objectives for Quality Control aligned with organizational vision.
• Ensure the validated state of equipment and analytical methodologies to guarantee precise and reproducible results.
• Oversee the analysis and release of all materials, products, and environmental samples under GMP standards.
• Manage departmental budgets, including material procurement strategies and the evaluation of new technologies.
• Lead, train, and motivate the QC team while promoting a culture of leadership and continuous improvement.
• Prepare for regulatory inspections and implement remediation plans for audit findings.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of Quality Control experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a senior or managerial role.
• Proven experience working with vaccines, biologics, or sterile forms.
• University degree in QFB, QBP, Biochemistry Engineering, or a related pharmaceutical field.
• Advanced English proficiency (capable of conducting business conversations).
• Strong technical knowledge of FEUM, USP, and Mexican regulations (NOM-059, NOM-073, NOM-087).
• Expertise in microbiological, physicochemical, and immunological analysis.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
