Head of QPU Production

Responsibilities

• Lead the QPU Production organization, including fabrication, micro packaging, and materials supply
• Scale production site and operations to increase volumes and ensure predictable yield
• Build production ramp-up plans, staffing needs, and operating cadences
• Establish production control points, yield tracking, and loss breakdown across wafer and chip flow
• Implement production metrics to drive daily decisions, prioritization, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with process engineering and R&D teams to industrialize new processes and products
• Partner with project managers, procurement, and delivery teams to maintain realistic schedules
• Maintain and enforce high safety and quality standards within the cleanroom environment
• Coach and develop team leads to foster a culture of accountability and wellbeing

Requirements

• Deep understanding of production and production ramp-up, ideally in a deep tech environment
• Solid understanding of microfabrication and packaging processes (lithography, deposition, etc.)
• Proven track record of leading a production ramp-up with measurable impact
• Experience with MES and production data systems
• Strong leadership, performance management, and coaching skills
• Ability to set practical production metrics and drive execution with data
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams
• Ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in superconducting quantum technology or high-precision deep tech manufacturing
