Head of Purchasing

Responsibilities

• Execute the purchasing strategy for both productive and non-productive materials.
• Coordinate with Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Production departments to balance cost, quality, and supplier performance.
• Evaluate quotations, manage bidding processes, and analyze supplier performance for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with external suppliers.
• Prepare analytical reports and data insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Supervise, train, and manage the activities of the assigned purchasing staff.
• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with the Planning department using SAP procedures.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
• Review purchase orders and resolve payment or order discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in Supply Chain Management and Supplier Negotiation.
• Experience in direct procurement and raw materials management.
• Knowledge of Production Planning, Inventory Control, and Shipping & Logistics.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills for internal and external stakeholders.
