Head of Project Development/Program Director (SMR)

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of SMR/MMR projects from concept through construction authorization
• Develop and own integrated master program schedules and manage project budgets and cost forecasts
• Coordinate directly with the NRC and other federal/state agencies on licensing and regulatory compliance
• Lead cross-functional project teams spanning engineering, licensing, procurement, and construction
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive program risk register and implement mitigation plans
• Build and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, utilities, and community stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience managing large-scale nuclear or complex energy infrastructure projects
• Proven experience navigating NRC regulatory processes and U.S. nuclear licensing requirements (10 CFR Part 50, 52, or 53)
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary project teams
• Track record of managing complex schedules and multi-hundred-million-dollar budgets
• Executive-level stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the U.S.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with modular construction methods and nuclear project execution strategies
• Familiarity with nuclear quality assurance programs (10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1)
