Head of Program

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the programme portfolio across Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands.
• Ensure contracted commitments are met on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Manage the full programme lifecycle from contract handover through to customer acceptance.
• Drive delivery excellence across a portfolio of concurrent projects and act as the senior escalation point for delivery risk.
• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of project management professionals.
• Partner with Market Heads and commercial functions to protect margins and support business growth.
• Oversee financial reporting, cost and schedule baselines, and monthly variance analysis.
• Manage external stakeholder relationships and negotiate project deliverables, specifications, and budgets.

Requirements

• Internationally recognised professional qualification in project/programme management (IPMA level B/C equivalent) is essential.
• Extensive experience operating as a senior project or programme manager.
• Deep knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, PRINCE2, or Agile.
• Strong understanding of project controls, including earned value management and planning methodologies.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience managing teams in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, SAP, Primavera, or similar).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
