Head of Production

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing execution focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
• Define and execute production ramp-up strategies, including capacity modeling and staffing models
• Ensure robust standard work, traceability, and configuration control for audit readiness
• Drive continuous improvement through waste elimination, 5S, and flow optimization
• Deploy structured problem-solving methods such as 8D/QC Story and risk prevention via FMEA/PFMEA
• Lead the execution interface with Planning & Supply to protect customer commitments
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to stabilize processes and equipment
• Represent Production in customer/OEM discussions and audit preparations

Requirements

• 12+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience in high-reliability environments (defense, aerospace, or electronics)
• Proven track record in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
• Deep familiarity with AS9100 Rev D principles and Lean Manufacturing tools
• Expertise in structured quality and continuous improvement tools (8D, QC Story, FMEA/PFMEA, TPM)
• Experience supporting factory start-ups or new production line launches

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the UAE
• Exposure to automotive or aeronautical industries using APQP or DMAIC methodologies
• Experience interfacing with OEM customers and supporting audits in regulated environments
