Head of Product Development

Responsibilities

• Execute accessories development strategy and roadmap aligned with brand and financial goals
• Oversee product commercialization from ideation to launch, including engineering, sampling, and testing
• Partner with Design, Materials, Innovation, and Sourcing teams to ensure seasonal product delivery
• Deliver against gross margin targets and manage department budgets
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitive threats
• Support global sourcing strategies emphasizing quality, ethics, and sustainability
• Implement supply chain and ESG initiatives to reduce environmental impact
• Establish rigorous product testing and quality control protocols
• Streamline manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce time to market
• Build relationships with key suppliers and industry stakeholders

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in accessories (hard and soft goods)
• 7+ years in a senior leadership role
• Deep understanding of sports accessory trends and competitor landscapes
• Proven track record of team leadership and stakeholder influence
• Expert knowledge of technical textiles and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in design for manufacturing principles and creation software
• Strong commitment to sustainability and experience implementing sustainability initiatives
• Experience in global supply chain management
