Head of Portfolio Governance & Control

Responsibilities

• Oversee the global IT project and application portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business priorities.
• Drive the delivery of complex, multi-market programs, including digital transformation, agency, and integration projects.
• Lead the modernization of legacy technologies and the transition toward digital and cloud capabilities.
• Establish and enforce robust governance frameworks, including standards, methodologies, and performance metrics.
• Partner with business, operations, and country leadership to ensure IT delivery meets market needs.
• Lead organizational change management to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and ways of working.
• Manage risks and issues related to portfolio delivery, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging Agile, DevOps, and automation.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in IT portfolio, program, or project delivery within regulated industries.
• 10 years of experience in technology management or consultancy roles.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale organizational change and transformation programs.
• Experience in leading the implementation of new ways of working, such as Agile, DevOps, or Lean, at scale.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience within the life insurance or financial services sectors.
• Regional or global experience, specifically within the APAC region.
