Our unique platform uses network science and machine learning to aggregate and interpret vast quantities of transaction data, providing anti-money laundering (AML) compliance software and investigative services to leading cryptocurrency exchanges, financial institutions, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Elliptic’s strategic engagement with federal and state regulators, Congressional offices, and public sector stakeholders across the United States
  • Shape and respond to emerging crypto and digital asset policy frameworks, including stablecoin legislation and AML/CFT requirements
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on US policy, regulation, and government affairs related to digital assets and blockchain technology
  • Develop thought leadership through policy analysis, regulatory updates, and Congressional testimony preparation
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders across federal agencies (FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, OCC, OFAC)
  • Support business development and enterprise sales processes with deep policy expertise
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, public policy, government relations, or compliance
  • Deep understanding of the US digital asset regulatory landscape (SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, OCC, OFAC)
  • Experience working within or alongside federal agencies, Congressional offices, or regulatory bodies
  • Strong existing public-sector network across US financial authorities and policy communities
  • Exceptional communication skills for crafting policy positions and public commentary
  • Comfort working at the intersection of technology, law, and finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former experience in a federal regulatory body, Congressional committee staff, or Treasury/FinCEN
  • Experience with stablecoins and their role in traditional finance
  • Technical understanding of blockchain technology and digital asset infrastructure
  • Advanced degree in law, public policy, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Professional qualifications in compliance (CAMS, CFA, FRM, etc.)
